325xi 2005 5speed manual no start!!!
if i wanted to check my starter connection to see if it's loose is it true transmission has to be removed??

No tranny removal required for anything you'll get close to on this.
Will your engine crank over fast enough? Starter connection is tough to reach, but it's under the intake hoses area. Start by removing them. I'd also suggest you do a lot of reading in general in the DIY section to familiarize yourself with how to get around in our engine compartment area. Why with no start are you first checking the starter connection? What leads you to do this? There are other things to be done before this. |

just trying to narrow down all posibilities tomorrow i'll be visiting my repair guy cause it happened late saturday and everything was closed .
battery is good used voltage meter. push jumpstart car works fine so i'd think that it's not a key issue the switch safety thing on the clutch wouldn't be either i'd think couple times today car started normal with the key and then no click no crank |

Sounds like a battery problem. You need to check for cold cranking amps, not volts. If you can, take it somewhere you can have it load tested.

fixed it today
it was the starter my mechanic had fun replacing it twice
since the new starter was bad also tomorrow i'll know about the price .
