Unlock "Beep" annoyance
Any way to kill the annoying "beep" every time you unlock the car? Is this a code issue?

Yes you can code your key so it doesn't beep. NCS Expert is your friend. Search here or at bmwcoding to see how its done.

You may even be able to disable this in PROGMAN if I recall. I think you can program the visual and audible.

I have a Mac laptop. I'd have to install/run windoz and then download and learn NCS Expert. I'll have the private garage do it...seems to be no way from normal interface.

It's an option you can choose via I drive in the newer 5 series, but in this car it was still left to dealer software.

you can turn on or off your audible beep just with your key fob .
I don't remember if it's double tap lock or double tap unlock to set the audible beep on or off .
