ac control panel
Basically long story short my heating is not working and after long tests and hours trying to fix it the only two things left are the motor or the ac control panel but spoke to someone at bmw and they said that if its the control panel it would need programming in so i couldnt just get a new one and put it in but i was just wondering if it actually does need programming in or if bmw were just trying to get a bit more money need to get this fixed asap its to cold for no heating!

-You say that 'the only two things left are motor of ac control panel'
Step 1. What 'long tests' were performed and what were the 'hours trying to fix it' spent doing? We need to know what has been done and how, to know what to eliminate from troubleshooting.

Ive done all the trouble shooting checking wiring etc also changed the resistor (in car) and relay under bonnet and the only two things left are the blower motor or the ac control panel got a manual for it so i can do both myself but just wanted to find out if (a) ac panel could be tested and (b) changed without being programmed
