warranty information

I am looking at upgrading to a newer 3 series from my extremely realiable 2004 325xi 5 spd. After reading about all the issue these seem to have from oil and turbo problems on certain models to electrical issues on others I still want one but want to get a aftermarket warranty. I have done the research and decided I wanted to get more info on which is the best the Costo warranty , Fidelity platinum or Route 66 through certain credit unions. If you could help out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much I really appreciate your quick response.
I am planning on buying a higher mileage car because most of the depreciation will be gone and they cannot be CPO'd if that is what you mean by a BMW warranty.

read up on the feedback for any company you are considering-- alot of them have issues staying in business or denying claims.

its from AAA (the automotive club) captain audio researched them a while ago and found they were the most reliable/ best choice.

as for the bmw warranties, as long as the car is still under the factory warranty, you can buy the extended.

fidelity has some pretty bad reviews. just a quick google and you'll see what i mean.

Fidelity warranty is pretty good, they administrate extended warranty for Audi and a few other big car companies.

You may buy a BMW extended warranty (similar to CPO, but not as extensive) if the car you're buying is still under it's original new-car warranty. Cost is $1500-$3000 for 6yr/100k depending upon #years/miles and coverage (basic/gold/platinum), and the dealer you buy it from (there's quite a bit of mark-up).

Thank you for your quick response. I googled fidelity and it seems that the bad reviews are for the non platinum version of the warranty. COSTO's seem the best as it included even wear and tear but it is very expensive like 6k.
