E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

325es Running alittle rough. Help please!

I just bought a 1986 325es thats in pretty good shape the other day, but it was running a little rough. I gave it 6 spark plugs and that smoothed it out a little but not entirely. I then noticed that the rubber piece between the intake manifold and the air box had a pretty decent sized hole in it, so I ran to my local BMW shop and replaced that and now the E30 runs much better, but still not 100% yet. The car will rev freely when at idle with no hesitation, however when I'm driving it the car sometimes jerks when its accelerating. What else could cause it to run like that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

If the intake boot was bad, more of the rubber hoses are bad as well. Start looking for more vacuum leaks. The condition you describe points to a lean mixture, probably caused by one or more vacuum leaks.

Meaning when I am accelerating to motor sometimes misfires for a second, and then it goes back to accelerating.

that sounds like the fuel pump is on its way out to me, especially if it doesn't do it when cruising speeds.
