Thinking about an X1. Need help with packages

What do you guys/gals recommend as far as packages go on the X1? I'm leaning right now towards the s28i rather than the AWD version since I live in NC and I don't worry too much about weather. Is the "Ultimate" package a good deal?

I need leather and I like the sport package in my 335d. I also need iPhone integration. It can be just the USB connection I'm used to. Aside from that, I'm pretty ok features-wise.

I really value a good sound system in my car and I'm thinking I'll do a post purchase upgrade to the base unit. Musicar NW has some nice packages for the e90. Is there something comparable to that for the e84?
Finally, are there any forum sponsors in NC?

I'd highly recommend the ultimate and lighting pkgs, which includes the tech pkg for the iPhone integration. I just took delivery over the wknd and still learning the voice command functions.

I got the Ultimate Package and Lighting Package also , if you can swing it I think there is value there. I would shop it locally, and also consider using a Client Advisor from this site. They are knowledgeable, will work with you, and you can do a Performance Center Delivery one state away. Something to think about.

I hate Leith. They are expensive and are terrible when it comes to negotiating trades. I got my current car through Performance and while they probably weren't the cheapest, I like them. If I do get an X1, it will be through them barring some compelling reason like a sponsor on this site.

As mismaloya said, u should definitely consider doing pcd in sc, in which case u can order ur car from any dealer in the country, and most likely get a great deal from a forum sponsor.

Whatever you gotta do wo get those Sport Seats and Xenon lights. So it seems you are on the right track.
FWIW, the HK system in my X1 is the best I've experienced in any BMW I've owned (E46 330i and E92 335i). It's not what I would consider "amazing", but it's certaily worthy of consideration.

Unfortunately, in the USA those options require quite a bit of other stuff. For instance, to get the sport seats, you've got to go sport package or M-sport. To get the Xenon lights, you've got to get the premium package. etc., etc., etc.
