List of all changes from MY13 to MY14??

Is there a comprehensive list of changes between '13 and '14 X3 that lists both exterior and interior changes? Can't find anything via search..

Thanks!!

Discussed many times here. You don't find a list because almost nothing has changed.

The only thing that has changed on the vehicle is the iDrive/Nav system - in 2014 it is now the NBT system with a faster CPU, buigger memory, larger harddrive, improved graphics card. Lot's of posts in this forum and 5-series forum and technology forum about the differences.

No changes to body. No changes to engine, drivetrain or suspension. Any body style changes (called LCI) will first appear on MY2015 cars with start of production in April 2014.

How you order the options has changed since BMS NA shuffled the package content a bit for 2014.

40:2040 rear seat is standard on the 2014, was not on the 2013.

ASS remembers last state on 2014, it deafulted to on everytime the engine was turned on on the 2013.

The 2013 storage package is standard on the 2014s.

I forget if the interior lighting was an option on the 2013s or not.

E-Call, Remote serivces and Teleservice are now inlcuded for 10 years, I think it was a shorter time on the 2013s.

Biggest difference is of course the iDrive, as has been mentioned above, but it is not the only difference.

What's the 40:2040 difference in the seats mean? Folding seats?

Thanks guys, not as intimate with the F25 as I am the F30, buying one for my wife and wasn't sure if it was a bad idea to get the '13 as I'm getting a better deal ( better residuals ) on it.

Thanks!

Correct me if i´m wrong, but i belive the chrome exhaust pipe is now standard on the 2.0 diesel. Maybe it requires the M-Sport package, not sure.

Depends where you're located. Storage package and 40-20-40 rear seats are definitely not standard in Canada.

In 2013 in the US, a 40/60 split folder rear seat was standard and 40/20/40 split folding was optional (basically meaning you can fold just the middle seat down and get something long in the car while still having 2 usable seats! 40/20/40 is standard for 2014.

If you leasing, the residual on the 2013 is 2% higher, so if you can find one optioned how you want it, the real deciding factor is how much you care about the idrive/hud improvements.

Exactly why I was asking, I found a 2013 optioned how I want it and wanted to make sure it wasnt a bad decision, I'm not getting nav or HUD so i think it's a no brainer the residual difference is making my payment much better.

I just quickly compared the 2013 and 2014 pricing guides, and this is the list of items that appear to be new base equipment for 2014 (for the 28i):

319 Universal garage-door opener
430 Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors
431 Auto-dimming rearview mirror
465 Split fold-down-rear seat
493 Storage package
563 Ambiance lighting
6AC BMW Assist eCall
6AE BMW TeleServices

But there are many other potential differences, depending on how the vehicle you are considering is configured. Which engine? What packages? The package configurations and pricing were adjusted in several ways from 2013 to 2014. e.g., there were two 2013 Cold Weather packages, and one included the split rear seats. For 2014, the split seats are included as base equipment, and the Cold Weather items are all combined into one package. The 2014 Premium package loses some items from the 2013 list, because they are now included as base equipment, adds a 1 year subscription to Satellite radio. Etc. etc.

None of those things are *new*. They are just now configured as standard. I believe the original poster was asking what has changed (new features, cosmetics etc) since 2013. The packaging changes year to year on BMW's but the features don't change unless there is a refresh or an LCI. The upgraded NAV and I-drive are the only changes that have been made.

I guess I was asking for both, I'm leasing one this weekend and deciding if the savings of the '13 is worth it over the '14, and it is to me. I'm adding the Enhanced USB/Bluetooth w/ BMW Assist, so it's once less thing different for me...
