LCI brake light bulb size (not 3rd brake light)

So while driving earlier I got a bulb out indicator that came on the gauge cluster display accompanied by a warning chime. I get out and inspect all the lights and discovered a dead bulb in the tail light.

The bulb that goes in the round circle of the inner tail light is dead.

Does anyone here know the exact size of the bulb and the correct wattage? Hopefully it's something I can find at the local parts store. If necessary I will get it at the stealership, but that would be my last option.

Thanks in advance!

I believe the first and second brake light bulbs are 21 Watt P21W bulbs. Don't forget, if I remember correctly, that the second brake light only comes on during extreme braking maneuvers. Change the inner bulb with the outer bulb to confirm it is burned out.

Thanks for the reply! I will switch both bulbs to confirm, but doesn't the second (inner) brake light also acts as a parking light? Meaning it's constantly on when the headlights/parking lights are activated?

Also, is the P21W (1156) bulb a single or dual filament bulb? I found a couple of replacements online and just wanted to make sure I got the correct bulb.

The 1156 is one of the most common bulbs around and are readily available. As far as I know it is single filament. Remove the bulb you think is faulty and go to your auto parts store or dealer parts and get an identical match. Dealer bulbs will be OEM, cost more but are of better quality(usually). Personally, I would replace both sides to ensure an even light output. Usually once one bulb goes the others tend to follow.
