1990 325i engine swap ideas?!?
Ok heres the deal i have a 1990 325i I wanna swap a 540i m62 engine in it. Besides the engine and trans what would i absolutely need to have it drivable? What pricing without labor?
I prices engine and trans at about $1000 all together what else?

youre gunna need the harness and ecu and hopefully your goin 6spd so you dont have to deal with the extra electrical

yea 6 speed do you know what ecu I would I need and harness would work? Also any advice?

the one out of the 540. as of splicing it into the e30, that is all up to you to find out.
when i was checking out the sti swap for my forester, cobb tuning said it took 3 months for their electrical guy to get the harness wired correctly. and those are guys who deal with these cars daily.

After more reading I see that you can leave the e30 wiring in you just need to get the starter working. Als remove the ews completly.

Yea well idk ill have to do more research some people saybu have to clear the ecu which would be a mess
