Transfer Case

Hello,

First time owner ('11 535i xDrive) and post. Purchased vehicle early this month. Received alert on dash "Chassis Stabilization Malfunction 4x4 Drive moderately, take to service center". Dealer ran tests and was advised to check if software was up to date. Software up to date which prompted them to submit a PUMA to BMW. [Keep in mind this is my first BMW and have had it less than a month]. PUMA report came back and they were advised to replace the Transfer Case. More details: car has 45k on it, full warranty to 55k, then CPO kicks in. Dealer said this is covered under warranty.
Q: Should I be overly concerned about this job? Will it benefit me in the long run? Should I return the car and exchange for a different one? I'm not saying the sky is falling and realize this is a performance sedan, just need peace of mind.

Thx - DT4

Worry not. Let them replace the transfer case under warranty and enjoy the car. I am on my 4th BMW and have always been well taken care of and I have experienced minimal issues over the years. Much less than I experienced with other cars.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll follow-up once I get the car back.

I have a 2011 750Li xDrive and my Transfer Case has been replaced THREE TIMES to date.

Disgraceful.

UPDATE: I received my car back on Friday. New Transfer Case covered under warranty as promised. The SA also advised the tech had discovered the Oil Filter Housing Gasket was leaking so they repaired this as well - under warranty. Overall I am please with the local service center and the SA.

New question: Should the leaking filter housing gasket been discovered during the CPO certification by the dealer that sold me the car? I purchased this car January 7th and brought it in for service January 26 for these repairs.
