1991 850i

So i found a good deal for a 850i, It's got 114k on the clock It's the color and interior I want and most importantly It's a 6 speed. The clutch is starting to go, and It's got a rebuilt title. I do not know why yet. But from the pictures It's in great shape. I am curious as to what It's like to own one of these? What's a good price on a car like this? And anything to look for or common issues. I love Bimmers. This won't be the last I own, I am a very handy guy so I'll be doing all the work myself.

So main point is, is this a good bargain on a 850i manual if it goes for say 3k and will it be a good car for miles to come if it maintained very well? Is it absurdly expensive to own for a diyer?

Thanks for your time in advanced.

uh,.....no.....

red flag?? 3k for an 850 w/manual

get a ppi, for sure. they are maintenance whores. check out http://www.e31.net/ before you commit

they're not exactly fast, especially for a v12, but they do have a certain standing among car enthusiests. i've owned an m70 e32, which was tight and had a lot of electronics, and the e31 is even more so.

if you are able to verify why the title is branded and still feel comfortable with it, then that is your decision, but i see a lot of red flags....

pics would be helpful, tho...

I don't know what the price will be It's on eBay and the reserve is not met, I don't think It's worth much more than 4k? But i don't know a whole lot about this vehicle specificily. I'll look further into it Ofcourse, I just want to hear some advice.
