Mein Auto: 87 528e
Tach with a mind of its own....

k so i searched the board and found nothing similar to my issue.... My tach in my 87 528e seems to have a mind of its own, it will work perfect for days on end then out of nowhere itll zero out and not work for a day or so then itll randomly work and not work intermittently while im driving.... not sure what could be causing this

Mein Auto: E28, E39
I have the same issue. Except mine seems to happen more often. Driving down the road it will bounce around between current rpm's and zero. Also my obc turns off when the tach goes to zero. I'm guessing its some kind of grounding issue. Maybe located outside of the car. I've checked the main ground under the dash and it seems to be in order.
