1/8/13 M5 Delivery

Just curious if anyone has chosen to have the car delivered to port instead of actually driving around? With all the snow and ice Munich has been getting I'm not sure I want to risk getting stuck or worse. I believe I read somewhere that if you pay cash they will deliver your car to port when the weather breaks...If anyone has done this what has been your experience? If not any suggestions?

Thanks
Aaron

Yes, my buddy just did this when we went to pickup our cars. He paid 75 euros cash to have BMW truck the car to the drop off in Munich. However, even though we drove around my car for the 5 days while we were there, my car was still trucked out to the port sooner than his. I got lucky on the day of my drop off there was a truck coming that afternoon...As we came back from City Ctr later that evening...Before getting on the shuttle for the hotel I went upstairs to check and was surprised to see his car there 5 days later while mine left on the truck in the afternoon. Luck of the draw I guess...

Yeah I'm not too worried about it taking a little longer. Just as long as she gets home safe. Who do you talk to at the plant about it?

Just tell them when you do your paperwork at the Welt.

Your CA will ask you where you want to drop off the car at some point before the delivery. Let them know then and the people at the Welt will already be expecting it.

I took delivery of my car, and left it at the Welt, on 11/23/12 and it left the port on the Don Juan on 12/4/12.
