How do I removed the electronic wire connector on The gas pedal
2009 Z4 Gas pedal electronic wire connector removal.
I am putting on a new set of Aluminum pedals on my Z. I have the gas pedal removed. I cannot get the electronic throttle cable connector off. I tried following the below thread, but I see no way the connector comes off by pushing Down. I pushed in the unlocking plastic tab, which just broke- pissed off now. The connector has and will move up slightly up as if to be able to come off , but it will not. This connector has no way to be pushed down for removal. Attached a some pictures. Any help is appreciated. My car had almost no slack on the connector, and nobody helped, so had to figure out by myself how to remove the damn thing. DON'T pull on the wires, thinking the green connector has to come out (like I did); you need to press the tabs at the bottom of the connector (your finger will barely fit between tab and pedal), and at the same time, use your other hand to push DOWN on the BLACK connector with your fingernails. After the initial resistance, it should slide down (that qualifies as your yoga workout for the day folks
