Confirming my assertion, I just exported mine, and I too show F001-12-07-520:

If you are referring to your profile, that is because it is in .xml, which has HTML tags in it that the forum thinks is BB Code. Remove all the tags (e.g. "header" "/header" etc.).

As I said before the car is performing great now. No hesitation at all. I did have a problem where it would start off in second gear and then with no extra pressure on the gas pedal, it would all of a sudden down shift to first gear like it couldn't figure what gear it should be in. That is totally gone now. I hope this a permanent fix now and the adaptive controls don't screw it up again. |

Hesitation software update
Gents- So I too have had an update done to attempt to correct this issue. The dealer did the update and it was documented as "bulletin 12 09 11"
I do notice a big difference, but has there been another update in addition to this one, and since I think it's fixed, I am wondering if there is another that improves the fix even more. |

Anyone know if the fix addresses "take-off" hesitation or only while decelerating?
From reading the SIB, the update only addresses a certain use-case which may not be the main complaint on this forum. It was my understanding that the main complaint was hesitation in general.

Still too early to tell because the car might seem ok and wonderful for the first week after the update, then deteriorates and returns to square one. Happened in the previous "global update", and I'm not holding my breath on this one.

My tip-in and idle surge problem was resolved after the last update (and from wiping out the previous learned data). They also re-programmed the steering module on that visit and fixed the mild pulling issue of the MY2011s.

On a related note - especially since Shawn is following this thread. Can the car be coded to start in first gear even when not in sport mode? I assume all 5's start in second when not in sport mode, but my 550 does for sure. I'd love to change that.

Not that I have seen, but I have not spent a whole lot of time in the EGS or DME Modules either.
