Thanks for your words of encouragement Fortunate Son! I'm going to take my time and continue with the project, and see what happens. There may be a revival just yet!
 In the meantime, I bought another 98 540i, missed driving an E39 too much too wait!

That's a good looking car! I like those wheels too. Keep me informed on your progress. You can never have too many E39's.
Do you mind me asking how much you spent? I may be in the market as well.
