minor paint scratch repair

I drive a 2009 328i. It's the best car ever.

I have a question about minor paint scratch repair. Today, a strong gust of wind blew a green farm gate onto my passenger door handle and left a small green streak. Fortunately, there is no dent, but the green from the gate looks terrible on my car's pristine platinum bronze finish. I'm new to the BMW world, and love my car, so would like to get this fixed right away.

Help! I need advice.

Thanks!

If it's just a paint transfer, some polishing compound should be enough.

Thanks! Is polishing compound available at an auto parts store, or should I go to the local dealer?

Any auto parts store has it, especially for situations like yours. Anyway, it's worth a try. G/L
