I got money and want to buy some tools. What are some good ones I can't do without? I may buy myself some VCGs and TCGs to replace with the tools I plan to buy.

Here's my gift to myself, built from the frame up. Replaced my WP, Thermostat, fan/clutch, belts, few hoses over the past few weeks, but doesn't seem like a gift, more like an offering to the BMW gods..

You can't ask for much more when you're from Middle-Earth.

Do those socks protect from laceration, evisceration, and incineration?

Nice bike. Got myself a 2011 GT Force 2.0 recently and loving the mountain biking scene. What frame did you use? Front and rear shocks?

Jim,

The cooling system was good prep for the VC job. Was chasing an intermittent leak, appears to have fixed it, drove up your way last week to some school interviews for my daughter, and dropped off some Holiday Cheer to my customer!

The VCs look great, I show them to all my buddies when they come over, great job by you on the powdercoating. Will try to get it done in the next few months. Any NJ trips coming up?

King,

It's a Yeti SB-66c(arbon). Found a 2012 frame on close-out, six inches travel both ways. Fox RP23 came with it, I put on a 150mm 32mm TALAS on the front. X0 2x10 drivetrain, X0 Trail brakes (2 piston!), CF bar, Chris King hubs, headset, BB. Have only ridden it 1/2 dozen times, pretty much dialed-in now. Nothing like a new bike to get me out in <40 deg temps.. Very solid on my home trails, the new link Yeti uses allows you to attack uphills either seated or standing with the shock open. Downhill it rocks. Just got to get my fitness up the the bike's capabilities, a lot of work to do! GTs are great bikes, hope you are enjoying it. I hate gyms, my knees can't take jogging, MTBing in the woods is perfect.

I do love it, I picked it out because of my love for my earlier beretta cougar.

I got new cupholders, front and rear window seals, left and right sunroof control rails, and I may need either a new serpentine belt or tensioner/pulley.
