Taz, a question for you

We ran Autologic at the BMW indy shop on my 2005 645. The iDrive display stopped working - black display with a flicker aout every thirty seconds. They came up with an A 46 D trouble code "Malfunction CID BT reset of MOSS ring. It appears like a break in the fiber optics. I didn't know fiber was on the vehicle. Any input on this one?
