Cool How much to repaint a e34??

Hey Guys, can anyone say what's the average cost to repaint a 1990 E34, plus add & paint a M5 Body Kit to this car?

Cool E34 Push Start/Stop Button?

What would be the most appropriate Push Start/Stop button upgrade for the 1990, 535i?

You should take it to a shop and have them tell you, different prices for different cars, plus dents/rust.
Look up the bumper kit and add that to the price they quoted and give say 200$ extra room to play with.

Just google a push start/stop button, they are all pretty much the same.

its a ton of money considering its resale value if you decide to sell in the next few years. if you expect to keep this car or have an actual use for it, I'd say go for it but if not, don't bother. Just to give you an idea, I was quoted about $2500-3000 for a complete 100% job on my 93 which needed basically everything; dent removal, surface rust repair, oxidation removed, primer, paint etc. etc.

then of course ad on a couple hundred extra for m5 pieces/paint.

Now there is cheaper options out there--- maaco, vinyl wrap, dip etc. Just think about how much you're investing and what you'll actually get back, should you decide to sell in the future.

You can have the bumpers matched if your existing body color and condition are ok, only a few hundred dollars

For goodness sake don't use macco! I've been quoted 2k by the guy that painted my bumper. That's just a respray.
A full body color change done well will cost 4-6k, it's far more labor intensive. We're talking about full removal of every body part, body work, rust repair, door sill, trunks sills, and engine bay.
You can save a couple g's by doing the work yourself but I wouldn't advise it unless your done that kind of work before

Why not do it yourself and plastidip your car ?
I plan on doing mine around tax season
A full kit with a spray gun is around 300-400 and it doubles as a protective layer
It peels off if you decide you want a different color and is super easy to apply because all you need to do is clean the car tape a few areas and spray over your current paint

I agree. Unless you do all the prep work yourself (all the prep work ) Macco isn't what you want. For the price they quote is for their rock bottom job. Which is a one or two stage paint with clear mixed in the paint.
They do however do more labor intensive jobs. But then again you don't go to macco for that type of work.

Key in ignition, turn to position three and drive.
I'm being funny but unless your making a show car. It's money you can spend elsewhere.

Got priced $1200 AUD. Have a bit of rust in the doors, that haven't decided what to do with. Can replace the doors, but the colour is wrong so have to paint the inside also...

A good spray job in Perth will set you back about $7k. More for a full good colour change. Show winning standard with extras - anything up to $12k.

I was quoted 10-12K that did repaint, small dings, and rust, if the rust was not as bad as it could be.
