Climate control Lights and Hazard Button

Hi all, just wondering if you all have noticed that when you power down the car and experience your Hazard Button and Climate Control still lit up for about 15 minutes. After about 10 minutes, the Hazard Light goes out, then about 5 minutes after that, the Climate Control lights go off. Normal? I see all these threads of battery drain and just want to make sure it just wasnt me. On the climate control, the back light is on, but visible are the fan icons. I do not have the timers set for ventilation, as I thought that may be why.

Thanks

I have a 2011 535i. My climate controls don't remain lit after shutdown. Are you pressing the STOP engine button two times to totally shut down the car? The first press shuts off the ignition but leaves the car in "radio readiness", or accessory position. If you don't press it twice, after about 15-17 minutes, it shuts down by itself, or when you lock the doors after getting out.

The car will remain in a semi active mode for a short while after you power down and lock the doors. This is normal and has been the case for at least three generations of 5-series.

Re: Climate control Lights and Hazard Button

Yes. I always hit stop twice. Everything else dims off except these two items. It was just that I stayed in the garage a bit longer one day and observed the lights on and like a person with nothing else to do watched until they went off. Then with more time on my hands opened the door and repeated it again with same results. I was just wondering if it was normal. Thanks for your insights.
