Summer runflats off...A/S and Hitch on...

OEM shoes are stored and I bought 4 A/S Pilot Sports and mounted on wheels that are the color of brake dust. How convenient...they always look both dirty AND clean at the same time...all the time. Not crazy about the lettering cast into the wheels or the lack of a BMW center Cap option, but for a winter set-up, I guess they'll do OK. Five easy to clean spokes I can live with. The ride on the non-staggered non-runflats is much improved. Car seems to handle better too...but I have yet to push it. Michelins probably have much to do with that.
Hitch is barely noticeable. Overall, the Min. White MSport looks sharp. And I still have yet to see another X1 anywhere around(Tidewater area of VA).
So far, no regrets....'cept those dang shift paddles.

Car looks great. Like the tint too. 35% all around? I have only seen 2 x1's in my area in the last couple months, and I haven't seen them since. I guess we are the early adopters.

I like those wheels!

You can buy adhesive BMW center cap logos. Just measure your caps and find right size on tischer or eBay.

Yep 35%. . . that's the best i could do with a DR. waiver

I think 35% is perfect. I have 35% on all but the front two windows, which have 50%. Didn't want the tickets, but it still looks sharp.

I bought a set of winter tires and 17" rims for mountain driving for my M Sport line. The garage who installed them took the center caps and put them on the winter tires. The ride is now much smoother and quieter on cement highways. Although it can be a little bouncier on bumps than the run flats on the sport suspension. It's not as good at cornering as the summer performance but I can live with that for a few months to be safer in the snow.

I was in the mountains today and lots of cars were spinning their wheels in the icy parking lot but I had no problem with the winter tires.

winters are always miles ahead of A/S tires. But since I travel so little in heavy snow I figure the A/S is all I need. Hope I'm right.

I did mine in about 3.5 hours. Knowing what screw to turn and where to look for all the fasteners...now I could cut that in half. Instructions were for a non-M Sport so that muddied the water a bit.
