How to replace cracked foglight?
I have a 2011 x3 and the passenger foglight is cracked. Local bmw says it's not covered under the warranty and they want to charge me $300 to replace it.
After a bit of research it seems I should be able to easily take out the foglight assembly and replace it, but I haven't been able to find any tutorials or guides on exactly how to do this. I see inside the fog light a black plastic clip on the top and the back a hexagon type screw, can anybody provide any further instruction on how I might be able to take out the foglight? As far as the foglight itself, I found this website, can somebody also confirm that the "left" side is in fact the passenger side? If anybody can find a way I can get this foglight any cheaper than $130 or simply find the plastic piece I could replace instead of having to get a whole new foglight assembly that would be greatly appreciated, here is the part I was looking at: http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/p...176924655.html_a_ |
