Are you sure that you are making a good connection on the post under the hood (remember you must pick a good grounding point)? Remember, with a totally discharged battery, it may take a few minutes of charging (while the jumper cables are connected - with the other car running) to get enough juice in your battery to turn your engine over. Even if you can't jump start the engine, it should give you sufficient voltage for the central door lock system to work and unlock the doors thereby making access to the rear seat so much easier.

If you are able to access the cabin by unlocking the front passenger door, then you should be able to get to a position to raise the back seat. Just grab the front of the rear seat at the bottom (about arms width apart) and YANK it upwards. This should allow you to access the battery, even though you are unable to get the rear seat out. It will take some tricky maneuvering on your part.

If the driver's door lock can be turned with the key then it can also be unlocked form the inside as the dead-lock function is mechanical. Poster has passenger side access so also has driver's door access.
Bonnet and boot also accessable (OK hood and trunk for those needing a translation). A big 12v battery will restore lock function - apply in engine compartment. DONE!!
