3-Stage Intake Manifold for 328i

Hello --

What parts are needed for the 3-Stage Intake Manifold for 2011 BMW E90 328i?

Please don't tell me to use the search button. That's all i've been doing for the past 30min, there's no links or references to parts #s. If someone could PLEASE help me out, it would mean a LOT.

And since it was only made for an 06 330 there is only an 06 one unless
they have continued them in Europe.

Just to clarify, I CAN do this mod for a 2011 328i Sedan, correct? Some member said something about the 328i now having this 3-stage intake manifold, and so now im basically mind****ed

Depending which 328i you have you may already have e three stage intake

Depends on if you have an N51 or N52, pulling your build options with your VIN should tell you.

If I end up getting the N51 engine instead of N52 engine, what N52 parts will NOT BE COMPATIBLE with N51 engine?

And what engine is preferred: N51 or N52?

As far as I know only the 330 had it.
The guys on the normally aspirated board on the link I provided are likely to know.
What is this n51 I keep hearing about as far as I know the n52 with the 6 hasn't had any major changes since 07 . The US horsepower hasn't changed since then until they went to the 4 in the f30 in the US.

The N51 was used in vehicles with a SULEV rating, the N52 was used in ULEV vehicles.

If your engine has a DISA valve, then you have the multi-stage intake manifold. This is identified as an "adjuster unit" (part #2) in the diagram linked below:

My car has the N51 engine, and it has the DISA valve and the multi-stage intake.

Does this mean all it lacks is software to make it a 330 ?
Is it the same 3 stage intake and manifold as the 330?
How do they use the Disa valve in the N51 ?
I have seen some NA x3's listing 260 hp output I think.

looks like the same part number according to the n51 vs n52 thread.

How are going to going to get the shop to reprogram it for you? Unless you have connection none of the shop can reprogram your vehicle from 325 to 330 with multi stage intake.Give it up you are wasting other time doing a mod which is impossible.If that was so easy no one would buy the 330i just get the 325i and convert it to 330i.

You are correct. The E83 LCI's got the base X5 engine:

So that would be the software to get
along with the three stage input if you could though some of those
tunes seem to be approaching that region to.

It is an effective and satisfying mod. There are guys with 325's that have had great results with the 3 stage and aftermarket tunes(AA comes to mind).

On my 328 with just a bms, the 3 stage is a great mod. Does it make it a 330? No. The thing is plug and play. Plug the disa motors in and they just work. Do I think I will give a 330 a run for its money? Yes. Recreational testing with a dynoliscious indicate a few tenths here and there. Am I having fun with this? Yes I am. Therefore, it is money and time well spent for me. It is called enthusiasm.

With patience, parts can be aquired quite inexpensively.

It is not a wase of time, nor is it impossible.

You think you can out do BMW engineer on this mod ?

exhaust?
brakes?
seat?
wheels?
steering wheel?
springs?
sway bars?
lighting?
intake?
ecu?

but what about the bmw engineering????!!!!!!
