E90 Krytox door seals
I wanted to contribute something back to the forum as a return for all the searches I did prior to picking up my E90.
Many use the 1Z Gummi stuff, which works for a majority of the rubber seal areas except parts of the sedan doors where the seals both touch the frame of the door, as well as the frame of the B pillar and associated areas that are painted. You need an EXTREMELY small amount of this expensive stuff, seriously, you can just rub it into the rubber and it absorbs and lasts for months, up to 400F! The areas on the door itself need some Krytox around the entire surround of the seal, where the seal touches the top part of the frame. One photo I didn't take was in the window guide (roll window down and you'll see it. Don't let any Krytox get on the glass, you'll be there FOREVER removing it! I hope this helps some folks with the door "tick", which is now eliminated. Other uses for Krytox were the areas where the center trim panel meets the HVAC controls; the rubbing is eliminated with this stuff as well. I've had this tube it seems for 2-3 years and continue to revert to this stuff.
