How Long Does Production Take

Hi, I'm new to owning a BMW as I just ordered my first a few weeks ago. It is a 650xi Gran Coupe and am very excited to receive it. I noticed that it has been in the "Production Started" phase for almost 2 weeks now. Does anyone know how long I should expect the car to remain in that state? Also, about how long from the time it finishes production to it arrives at my dealer? Last question, I was offered the opportunity to receive it down at Spartunsburg, SC and participate in their Performance Driving School delivery program. Has anyone done that? Thanks.

Congrats on the order! Production varies based on some options like Individual and factory closings. I forget the exact day count as mine was over a year ago, but I think it was about 4 to 5 days start to finish.

Definitely do Performance Center Delivery (PCD). I just got back from Spartanburg where I did the 2-day M School. It is like PCD on steroids Check out my reviews at the links below. They're a bit thorough, but helpful if you'd unsure about either of them.

Thanks! Mine is almost identical to yours as far as colors and options. Can't wait to get it! Also, thanks for the links to your reviews. I read them both and they outstanding! I see two driving courses in my future.

The courses help to get that pent up driving excitement out of your system so you still have a license to drive your car after driving their cars like an idiot
