Understanding Alignment Measurements
I understand the basics of wheel alignment. My question is about the spec.
0 deg 18' +\- 8'. I understand the degree part but not 18' +\-8'. Could someone please explain. I would be truly grateful. Thanks, John |

Alignment measurements are divided into degrees, minutes (') and seconds (" ). The seconds measurement is so tiny it is practically useless in a normal alignment, but the minutes (1/60th of a degree) is a usable figure. That figure you quoted is 18 minutes, plus or minus 8 minutes, is the ideal alignment and the range of tolerance.
