Snow and my BMW = Massive Smile.
I loved my Subaru in snow but this is just as fun. It sticks to the road well and it pulls well from the light. I won't beat on it like I did my Subaru in parking lots because I am much wiser to hidden obstacles than I was back then (no never hit anything but witnessed someone take out his cv joint on a curb in snow). But my car drives every bit as well as my Subaru did. I was asked for the first time by a STI guy how well my car handled in the snow I told him every much as good at my Subaru was

The X-drive is pretty good in the snow, it is every bit as good as my Audi Quattro.

We had our first proper snowfall last night. The car is a beast in the snow, I love it! The Blizzaks LM-60 I put on this year performed flawlessly.

I, too, have the LM-60's and love them. Best balance between performance and snow traction without giving up too much of either, IMHO.

My rwd 335 with dedicated snowies on (Pirelli Sotozero's), certainly stops better than my old WRX with really good all season tires for sure. Started today 3" of fresh snow with dtc de activated. I don't miss awd at all.

We got like 20" of that white ****.
My lower-than-M3 E90 with winter tires had no trouble moving around. I had to be strategic and pass only after machinery cleared the area. A lot of people took chance and got stuck. ESP is king.

AWD certainly helps in getting going from a stop. I love being able to get out of parking spots when normally I'd be there playing with a shovel or rocking back and forth. Beyond that I'm pretty timid driver in the snow and not afraid to have a ****load of people lined up behind me... I didn't get above 3rd gear today. This morning the roads were so rutted that ground clearance was an issue. I really hate the sound of my car acting as a plow.
