Bmw 330i 2001

Hi my check engine soon light is on when i check it at auto zone it says oxygen senors could that be correct? And if they are correct do anyone know exactly where they are located maybe i could put it on my self

Mim - Could be a few things...an option would be to take it to a good indy.

If you are in N Atlanta/Fulton, I've used Braxton Automotive (www.braxtonautogroup.com) and Solomotorsports (www.solomotorsports.net), both ITP.

The pre-cat sensors usually average very roughly 100k miles. They screw into your exhaust manifold just outside the engine. Post-cat are further back under the car. Error code should tell you which has the problem. You're most likely due for the pre-cats which can be done DIY with relative ease. Post-cats are tricky due to very limited space. check e46 wiki.
