Lucas trans fluid for bmw

I am thinking about adding Lucas training fluid to my 1998 bmw 740il.

Low gear are slipping and cause the car to go into failsafe.

Will this work? Will it hurt?

Any advise.

What is the mileage reading on the car? Has the tranny ever been serviced? Is the fluid level of tranny correct? Transmission slippage can be caused by a multitude of things... Low fluid levels, low pressure caused by clogged valve body or solenoids, worn internal parts, etc... Start by checking level, next flush old fluid and install OEM filter, refill with correct fluid (check sticker on transmission), top off and recheck levels the following day. Start with the fluid check/change ($). If this fails, a total rebuild might be in your future ($$$).
