04 330ci whistling noise with rpm
So I've got a 2004 330ci that has been very good to me over the years. Unfortunately this morning I started her up and she was making a whistling noise. It's worth mentioning that its around 20 degrees Fahrenheit here, but that hasn't caused any noises in the past.
The whistling noise is unlike anything I've heard before, not a typical squeling like you'd hear with a belt or water pump issue. When I rev the car a little the whistling gets worse. I found this video which someone else made on YouTube. My car sounds EXACTLY like the one in the video above! Any ideas what to check first? Thanks guys! A few troubleshooting notes: -there is no error code or warning light -I put the car in neutral and the noise was still there -I drove around for about 10 minutes thinking it might warm up but that didn't help either -The car is NOT moving in the video but the noise occurs in park and when moving_a_
