Smile The One-Of E39 Project

So I realize that by even mentioning what I'm going to do to an E39 will get plenty of you to hate me with a passion, and have nightmares about it. But it's my car, my idea, and it is going to happen, and there's only one thing you can do to stop me: Nothing. I'm going to get an E39 (I have one but I would feel bad tearing it apart) that's either crashed or being parted out. Then I'm going to do a widebody on it. Not those stupid flared fenders that everyone only does in the back, but an actual wide body with the doors flowing into the flares and all. This next part is going to get me crucified ...here goes nothing... For the engine I'm going to drop in a Ford 5.0L Coyote from a 2012 Mustang with the 6 speed transmission. And I'm going to integrate the wiring and dash components from the Mustang into the E39. With a newer M5 interior integrated in as well. Updates will follow as my plans fall in place.

So I've decided to just use the E39 I have. The miles are getting high, it's getting harder to sell, and I'm waiting for the next thing to go wrong (which will be awhile). I've also checked out some 5.0's, both new and used...cheapest one is $5500 but that's shipped and with the tranny, ecu, pedal, gauges, and wiring harness. I've seen others upwards of $20,000. Now I just have to wait for a better deal, and for summer so I can have a place to work on it.
