Front Pork Chop Advice

My front right pork chop is sagging. These are my options:
1. Get it fixed through my mechanic ($125+tax)
2. Get the part and attempt to fix it myself. (Think I can get the part for $30-50)
3. Just take it off.

The things that make me hesitate are: Should I really pay $125 to have this fixed? If I fix it am I going to run into the problem of it not attaching correctly because of torn hardware where it connects? And lastly, will I have air flow or any other issues if I take it off?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

My pork chops are fine, but I worry about my brisket. It takes a long time to properly fix a brisket.

He means air deflectors in front of the tires.

Taking it off can complicate other things, like where to put the ambient temp sensor.
Also, it serves as a splash shield. It's not terribly difficult to replace, but you do have to be able to support the car safely without the wheel on it. It's held by small 8mm head screws. If you get th part from the dealer, get about half-dozen screws to go with it. That might be more than you need, but you're covered if you lose one.
