F07 Done the Basics - want to advance...

Hi Guys,

This is a GT 530d, European Model, manufactured Oct. 30th 2012, new Navi (means HU-NBT)

got my cable in time (before Christmas) and did the - for me - necessary first steps:

DRL with Tail Lights
Video (DVD) in Motion

without any hassles (according to the cheat sheet V3)

next planned is the full HUD enablement (entertainment, telephone, turn signals) which I am positive will work as well.

btw: there is a "PDC_3D" option available in HU-NBT - anybody tried this already?

As mentioned in the subject I want to "take to the next level" which means:

I've got all available cameras on board but did not order all possible functions available, like "Active Blind Spot Detection" and "Lane Departure Warning" respectively (to be ordered separately in Europe) I don't have.
Given the fact that all necessary hardware (the cameras) is present - is there a possibility to activate/add those funcitons ?

Thx a lot for all the assistance I've got here, especially - of course - to ShawnSheridan for providing the necessary latest PsdZ-Version for my rig.

Look through Realoem.com for the systems. There may be modules that you do not have for those functions.

you are perfectly right - for the Lane Departure Warning I don't have the sensors and for the Blind Spot Detection I have to investigate further....

For Canada, they called it a Driver Assistance Package. Not sure what it is elsewhere. This is all the systems you are talking about.

I am flirting with the idea of installing the nightvision camera. I don't need the lane departure warning/blindspot detection. Active Cruise Control would have been cool tho.

NVM is incredibly expensive to retrofit. I think the camera alone is around $2500, and then there is the Control Unit, Cable, and Dash Switch. Beyond that the FSC Code is around another $700. If you are paying for the labor, based on the E60 retrofit it is stated as approximately 6.5 hours.
