New DISA valve
Did my DISA valve yesterday @ 104k. Took a whopping 30 minutes. The old one was beyond shot. the flapper had no resistance anywhere. Complete free flapping. Got the new BMW valve in and took it for a spin. What a difference. Engine feels so much stronger and responsive. Got rid of a lot of that "old junky car" feel. Engine pulls real hard now. And taking off in 1st gear is a lot easier. Much smoother off the line.
However I have to question how the "DISAV Pin" can fall out. The way this thing is installed, the pin is up against the inside of the intake manifold. Not sure how it can physically fall out?
DD: 2003 530i 5spd manual sport package. Conti DWS's, Llumar ATR, White LED lighting. TLC on-going.
