non DSP 528 speaker ?'s

So i have replaced the head unit with a double din kenwood xcl 0719...As I have read on other audio thread on here the pick up on low bass tones are awful...But i wasn't clear on what size speakers i could buy without doing any mods to the door. Im open to it but i surely would need a guide to do it...

I do have a open ski hatch i plan to put a sub in.. As i understand its pointless to replace the rear deck speakers correct?

guess im asking what speakers need to be placed? i read 2way is better than changing the whole component system.. is that true? Again i see people get panties in a bunch and wanna say search first etc.. well i searched and i wasn't satisfied with what i found or read.

so any help and/or ideas or advice is greatly appreciated..
