dead battery

2002 X5, have replaced alternator ($950) and battery and battery is still dead after a couple of mornings. Assume electrical draw someplace. Any ideas?

Which did you replace first...the alternator or the battery? If you replaced the battery first...and the new battery went dead before you figured out to replace the alternator...depending on how discharged the new battery got...it may have been damaged or just need a good long, low amperage recharge for a good 20-24 hours.

Or you could have gotten a bumb new battery...does it have a date sticker on it? Did the vendor put a charge to the battery before they gave it to you? Have you unlocked your OBC so that you can run TEST 9 to see what the battery voltage is? Or dp you have a multimeter that you can use to check what the new battery's voltage is?
