Thumbs down

[QUOTE=jgentle;7280392]TexasBMW, since you seem to be ordering a very well equipped machine, you should at least consider ordering the somewhat secret "individual" stereo upgrade. This is a step above the pretty mediocre "premium sound" option.

I have the premium sound option and its not stellar.

I wish I had had the foresight to special order rather than search area dealers for a close fit. Wish I'd known about the uber-sound system availability too.

(option code 752)

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=588868

If you plan to keep your truck for a while, the incremental cost of the upgrade is worth it, in my opinion. [/QUOTE

Oh I overlooked that no premium sound
Sir I'm afraid we're going to have to put that in the order
Both my cars have it
A must
Although my 535,sounds so much better acoustically because its a much smaller vehicle
Go for it

Have about three X5 x50i's in my sights..now that my car sold I need something in the next couple of weeks. Here is another question I will throw out....

If you had to choose - buy a 2010 x48i or a 2011 x35i?

They are all three lease assumptions from private parties. All cars have less than 15k miles on them and are 200+ miles away. I've only gone back and forth with 2/3 sellers on email but will be speaking live to them all tomorrow. I'm pretty set on the x50i, especially if I can get into a lease from someone else. Test driving will be an option but only after I book my flight to the one I settle on. Never got a vehicle like this so we shall see.

Ok good luck
just remember ur gonna be super amped and in the moment
personally before u get on a plane to test drive any car, ask the sellers to get a copy of there complete service records from the service advisors and have the seller pass them on to you
No questions asked on this. its a must for you! Dont lease someones headache.
not everyone is happy with there car ans thats why them put them up on those sites!
by the way why not buy a cpo instead of dumping the money into a lease and having nothing in a few years?
in the last six months when i thought i was going cpo or leaseswap route i passed on a few cars due to them having to many service visits whether recalls electrical failed parts etc

Rob
i will PM u my # please call if u want to talk , im literally an expert by now

I know we ruled both of those engines out, I still want to say that the 2011 would be a better pick, one because it's an LCI, two because of better fuel economy.

You said you needed a car fast, but is building a new one out of question financially? Because they build them pretty fast, I've seen people drive off the lot within two weeks of placing the order.

I'd love a new one but doubtful that I could get into a loaded x50i for under $900/mo. I am not in enough of a hurry that I would have to settle as I work from home and my only necessary travel is via air. My wife stays home so I always have the Sienna if I have to go somewhere (would have to be an emergency - :-) )

Found a 2013 X5 x50i loaded with M Sport and M Performance package with 3,947 miles...how can I determine fair price for a used 2013 vehicle? It's listed for $69k

If you have the VIN, look up the options and then build it out on bmwconfig to see the original msrp and invoice. Then determine how much it is discounted off of that price.

A little off topic, but how would one look up options with the VIN?

Thanks

To the OP, we are about to grab an X5 35D, but I drove a 50i, and it was awesome, stay on target!

It'll give you all the options the vehicle has.
