Question for those that ordered an X1 in NYC area???
I am about to order an X1 and have a question how long did
You wait from the day you placed your order at the dealer till you picked Up your X1. I am in the Nyc area and will be ordering from Newton BMW in NJ.

are you ordering from stock or a special order?
if its from factory, they quoted me about 8 weeks i ordered from lot (at end of month and got a good deal), so got it next day essentially.

I was quoted 6-8 weeks. Acutal took 7 wks from production to arriving at dealership.
FYI, each dealer has a certain # of orders it can place for each specific model (allocation). Therefore, make sure you ask the dealer if they have allocation for an X1 and whether they can provide to you a production # immediately, to make sure your order can be placed for production right away. Otherwise your order has to wait for next month or your dealer has to swap allocation with another dealer, both of which are PITAs.
