Spare tire options

I just got a 06 330i and I would like to know what options i might have for a spare tire for my car. I got run flats but I would feel better having a spare.

You can either buy the donut spare, or purchase a full-size wheel and tire. I went to tire rack and bought a spare wheel and tire due to the fact that I drive cross country several times a year. The limited range and speed of a donut spare would not work for me.
The wheel is not a direct match, but it's close enough for a spare.

I'm considering getting a spare but some room is going to have to be made in the trunk and nothings in there now. How do you keep the spare in the trunk when you travel?

We do have the spare on our site. Most customers get straps and strap them down. No room under the carpet.

I use the 4 tie down hooks in the trunk to strap the spare down. it does take up a lot of room, so I only throw it in when I'm going out of town. The spare mentioned above is much smaller than a full size spare, but is very expensive in my opinion. It's a good option for some people.

Spare

Bmr3sn, My 330i is identical to yours and i was thinking about buying a wheel and a tire like you. Does that black plastic under the rug in the trunk comes out? it has bolts on it to me that means that comes out.

Here is the sticky

Regardless of what size spare you use, it won't fit under the trunk deck cover.

The cost is almost the same for a real tire and rim that will get you all the way home not just to the next town, the problems with space-saver tires are, they really don't save much space and they only have limited mileage and speed.
The money you save with go flat tires will easily pay for a real tire and rim spare.
