2013 335i door panel mark

I have a small mark on the interior door panel near the lock. First, what material is this on the upper door panel and how can I clean or minimize the mark/scratch?

Thanks!

Is that on the plastic grainy part of the door? and what kind of mark are you talking about...something that scuffed the panel like rubber or has this scrapped the panel?

If you could post a pic or two that would be helpful

It's on the top portion of the door. The plastic portion is on the bottom half of the door (I believe). I think the material is either vinyl or leather. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow.
