So whose X5 ended up in the median on Maine Turnpike?
Going south on 95S. Police had the area flaired off. Turned out to be a pre LCI X5. Gray or dark green. He somehow ended up facing the wrong way on the highway in a snow bank. Rear axle looked gone. Back wheels were bent into the fender.
So is it anyone here? Lol Happy New Year

Plenty of moose (and deer, plus the occasional black bear).
Not much you can do once they are in front of you, but to prep your sub conscious - swerve toward the ass end. Only logical, but no time to figure that in the moment. So commit it to memory and store in amygdala for future reference. Worked for me at least one near miss with a 1000 pound bull on kankamagus highway. Also, get your head behind the a pillar. Moose are so tall when you hit them you take the legs out and the torso comes through the windshield. Deer usually go under. Oh, one last thing I learned from being first on the scene a few years ago. Try not to drive through moose country with hands at the top of the steering wheel. They get mangled. Another good reason for 9 and 3. Don't mean to be too grim on New Years, just a good opening for tried and true advice. Travel safe.
