The Speed Sisters at Lime Rock Park

My friend and fellow Lime Rock Drivers Club Member Stephanie hosted the Speed Sisters at Lime Rock Park.
The Speed Sisters are a team of female Palestinian race car drivers.

Stephanie heads Girlhead Girls Racing and is a very good driver.

Gread video - thanks for sharing.

Does Stephanie have a (or did she have...I guess it was four years ago...) a blue Miata? I think she's the same person I met and watched. If so, she's got great talent and enthusiasm. I was really impressed by how smooth and consistent she was...lap after lap after lap.

Stephanie has a blue Spec Miata, a Green Cayman a Lime Rock Edition M3 and a Mini Cooper Convertible.

She is a very good driver.

I took this picture of her and driving coach Pete Argetsinger at the SCCA races at Watkins Glen in 2011.

Seemed as though I'd met her. Yep, that's the car / person. If I still lived in Westchester, I'd be a member. The club seems great. Also met a retired NYPD officer with a red 996 GT3, also a great guy. And watched Sam Posey get some track exercise - in a formula ford, I think. Plus the back roads around Kent / Cornwall are big fun.

Jim, the retired cop, is a very nice guy. Sam Posey is a member and can consistently turn sub 59 second laps in his Formula Ford.

This is a video of the Clubs Winter Autocross last month.
Stephanie is in the Mini convertible. I was driving a Miata and a Mazda RX8.

That's awesome! Two thoughts immediate come to mind. First, I remember why I moved back to California. Second, that's the kind of club to which you want to belong!

Looks like fun was had by all.

I was completely star struck to see Sam Posey. Still want to punch bobby Unser in the face on his behalf.

Sam Posey is a very nice guy and very approachable and I feel honored to have him and his wife Ellen Griesedieck as friends.

We will auctioning off some Sam Posey memorabilia to benefit Survive The Drive at Bimmerfest Climb to the Clouds Six on June 22nd.

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=737755

Items include signed die cast models of the number 24 and the number 42 BMW 3.5 CSL race cars that Sam Drove at Daytona and LeMAns, signed copies of his books Playing With Trains and The Mudge Pond Express (which is out of print and very hard to find) and signed racing posters.

Details will be posted at:
