Audi recalls 170,000 driver side front airbags in 2005 to 2014 vehicles

More airbag issues from Takata. This time Audi recalls automobiles with driver side front airbags from the manufacturer Takata as a precautionary measure in the USA. According to information from the airbag manufacturer, 170,000 front airbags could be defective in US models from the years 2005 to 2014.

On the advice of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Audi of America is recalling 170,000 automobiles from model year 2005 through 2014. Audi has been informed by the authorities that certain driver side front airbags made by the manufacturer Takata could be defective. Products from the Japanese manufacturer are also fitted into Audi models in the U.S..
