e46 coupe 320ci which amp alternator

so my alternator went on new years eve, tried to order new part but no idea if its 90amp or 120amp can anyone help me out?

So you ask us to let you know which alternator to order wihout giving us your year?

Well would not have helped anyway! Because the only way to do this the right way is to get in there to your alternator and read the nameplate for manufacturer and model. Fairly easy to read without removing from what I recall. But think you have to remove the airbox and intakes first.

Cars can have various models without consistancy.

Go to realoem.com enter your vin and follow the drop down tabs to the appropriate parts diagram. It will give you the correct part # for whatever you need.

I would also remove the air box, and pull the plug on the back of the alternator. Check to see if it's rectangular or oval. And then make sure the new alternator has the same plug.

No it won't.
Please don't give advice when you have no experience.
You must physically check to see exactly which alternator you have, and replace it with like kind. This has previously been stated in this short thread.
