Standard Audio - Bluetooth
My 2013 X3 has standard audio (U.S), and I can't seem to figure out how to play music over Bluetooth. Phone (Galaxy SIII) is paired and is working fine, but I am at a loos about streaming... Is this only possible with upgraded Bluetooth option?

Have you enabled Bluetooth audio for the phone? Pairing for use as a phone and setting up for Bluetooth Audio are two different steps.
Try this in iDrive, under Telephone: Select Bluetooth Right Click iDrive Select Configure Phone If not already checked, select Bluetooth Audio That should work. If you later use your phone as a USB device to play music then Bluetooth Audio will be turned off, and you will have to re-enable it the next time that you want to use Bluetooth Audio. |

I looked again yesterday, and it looks like Standard audio doesn't allow A2DP. Silly to pay $5-600 for upgraded USB&Bluetooth option, as the technology has been around for a while, and is standard on many cars half the price of X3.
