Exclamation Can I add an OEM Backup Camera???

Hello everyone!!!!

I am new here. First post! Woop woop!!!

So I have had my new 2014 X1 for about 1 entire day now.

Silly me test drove about 10 cars on the day of purchase and forgot that this particular x1 did NOT have the backup camera.

After signing all the papers I get in and put in reverse and look at the iDrive screen and was like WTF!!!!!!

So it is my fault because I was just anxious to get it over with.

Is it possible to add it on now after the fact? I am such a cults when it comes to parking and its just such an awkward car to backup. I have read many post here about the same thing and the drivers side mirror.

other then that... I LOVE MY NEW CAR! or SAV as BMW calls it.

Anyone know? Please let me know.

Thanks!!!

We checked into this as a dealer added option. Was told, need to have the nav package and the camera had to be installed from the factory. Wish we had it...not sure why this feature is not standard on SUV's without adding costly options.

There are some places that offer OEM-like cameras that integrate with the nav screen. About $500.
