warranty on my car

Hello members i just bought a 2008 550i m sport with 48000 miles on it warranty is a big issue with me the guy i bought the car from is a nice guy and had the route 66 extended warranty on it to a 100000 miles is this warranty any good and can it be used at my local bmw dealer or do i have to go where they say whice would be a no good place for me to take my car what are my options? thanks greg p.s. at 48000 miles can a factory bmw warranty be bought?
