coolant leak.....

Broke the t stat housing to begin with (plastic one) and fixed that. Now I see coolant coming off of the back of the intake manifold. My guess is heater core line? I can see that there is a "Y" fitting of some sort coming off the back back there, and its r where the leak seems to come from. Any help/suggestions?

Mechanical Things you need to know about your E34

Try reading through the stickies. Its at least a few times a week people come up with these questions.

If you're lucky, it's a hose. If you're not it's the valley pan or the coolant tubes running above it. Either will require removing the intake manifold to repair.

If you have an automatic transmission, examine the hoses connecting to the transmission cooler while you're poking around back there. They hook up to the coolant manifold at the back of the engine block.
